Resource or Project Abstract
The project observed the interaction with stakeholders in the ERBD. While it met with the obligations under the WFD, the interaction could have been stronger. In future consideration should be given to the composition of the Advisory Council and to using an independent trained facilitator in the process.
A comprehensive survey of decision support systems was undertaken and a number implemented and tested in 3 workshops run by the project. No one system was suitable for all uses. The DEXi system proved useful and easy to implement and comments from AC and other users were positive.
A review of available measures was conducted and concluded that targeted measures (rather than blanket ones) are likely to be successful. The review noted the lack of methods for demonstrating to stakeholders the benefits of measures directed at their specific activities.
