Resource or Project Abstract
The research has examined the prospects for quantifying the economic value of ecosystem services for use with the Environmental Liability Directive, namely for compensatory remediation. Specifically, it has undertaken a review of the ecological research that has been conducted in Ireland where this has relevance to the assessment of ecosystem service impacts on human beings.
