Resource or Project Abstract
This was a medium scale research project which utilised and advanced national capacities in integrated air and climate modelling and policy analysis to respond to challenges in a number of important research areas for Ireland. The project completed in December 2016 and was led by EnvEcon with University College Dublin as a partner. This research directly supported Irish engagement on international air and climate policy and offered a broad range of national policy option evaluations and briefs in the context of air and climate targets.

The deliverables mentioned under key outputs are provided. There are no new data sets specifically as the project was not gathering new data. The MDV guidebook has an accompanying methodological report that describes the methods Economic desk research and modelling use the GAINS system was at the core of the research. The MDV guidebook piece was also accompanied by a detailed methodological report. We would like to thank members of the steering committee and to ackowledge that partial funding in the final year was provided by the TRAM body which was extremely valuable in sustaining this research. |
