SAFER-Data Register to Upload and Manage Datasets

At present SAFER-Data does not provide users with the means to register automatically to use the system. If you wish to register for an account on SAFER-Data please email the EPA regarding your application for an account. The priority users for registration with the system are those who :

Are currently funded by the Environmental Protection Agency
Have been previously funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and wish to contribute data and information from these projects
Employees of the Environmental Protection Agency
Employees of other agencies which have working links with the Environmental Protection Agency and wish to use SAFER-Data as a means of distributing their environmental data and information

I want to register - what are the next steps?

To register for an account on SAFER-Data you email one of the persons mentioned in the Contact Us section. You should provide the following information to complete your registration:

Name (including title)
Current address of employment
Contact information at current address of employment: telephone, fax, and email
Any relevant website address containing contact information or biographical information about you
Any EPA projects you are involved in

To register for an account on SAFER, by providing the information above, you are confirming that you have fully read and understand the EPA Privacy Policy and Terms of Use of EPA websites

I am not funded by an EPA project - Can I still register for an account?

If you are interested in registering for an account for SAFER-Data but are not funded by or connected to the EPA we would still be delighted to hear from you. To register for an account on SAFER-Data you email one of the persons mentioned in the Contact Us section. You should provide the following information to complete your registration:

Name (including title)
Current address of employment
Contact information at current address of employment: telephone, fax, and email
Any relevant website address containing contact information or biographical information about you

What are the benefits of registering for an account on SAFER-Data

There are several reasons to register for an account on SAFER-Data. These are outlined as follows:

You can upload data/information from your funded EPA research project
You can upload environmental research data or information which you own which you think the EPA may be interested in disseminating
Registering and logging on each time you visit SAFER-Data allows the SAFER-Data development team to better design future user services on SAFER-Data and other ERC systems.
You can be informed by email of new features, updates, changes to SAFER-Data
