4 years of meteorological and CO2 flux measurements taken at a grassland site near Donoughmore Co. Cork. Flux data were measured and averaged over 30 minute intervals using the eddy covariance technique. The QA/QC procedures of CarboEurope-IP were applied. Meteorological data: radiation incoming & outgoing longwave & shortwave; photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), 3D wind speed, air temperature, relative humidity, soil moisture, soil temperature, soil heat flux, CO2 fluxes, latent and sensible heat fluxes, atmospheric pressure. Flux data have NOT been gap filled.

Description of Geographical Characteristics of This Project or Dataset
1. Situated near Stuake Co. Cork on privately owned mixed farmland (grassland for dairy/beef grazing and silage, afforested grassland, winter cereals). Travel W from Cork City along Carrigrohane Rd, take R before Ballincollig for Kanturk. Take Kanturk direction after 300 m, continue for c. 20 km. Take R at Crean's Crossroads, near Stuake. Continue for c. 2 km. Entrance to site is via boreen on L. Permission should be obtained from local landowners before attempting to access site. 2. Pristine blanket bog at Ballaghsheen pass, Co. Kerry (near Glencar Lake). Permission should be sought from National Parks and Wildlife Service before attempting to access site. 3. Mixed grazing/silage grassland at Johnstown Castle Estate, Co. Wexford. Permission should be obtained from Teagasc before entering site. 1. area of c. 20 ha located near Donoughmore co. Cork 08° 45' 06.5'' W, 51° 59' 12.1 N. 2. area of c. 50 ha located near Glencar Co. Kerry. 3. Area of c. 10 ha located at Johnstown Castle Estate, Co. Wexford.
