Resource or Project Abstract

The Internet and World Wide Web (WWW) has changed the way society interacts and functions. It has transformed the economic, entertainment, and social networks that citizens find themselves in. However the current phase of the evolution of the WWW the 'Web 2.0' is a misunderstood term. This presentation aims to dispell the myths around Web 2.0 and show the Irish Environmental Science Research community how they (1) use Web 2.0 tools in their work and (2) use Web 2.0 to communicate the key results and outputs from their research more clearly and in a more attractive manner to a wider audience of people.
